It was about 15 years ago that Russ Weber started this group for senior folks. The average age seems to be in the 70s. We've gotten to know one another through the years and I miss my internet friends.

Now we have a chattering monkey beach boy riding a bicycle and telling us how to save the world. He's either a 19 year old kid with an inflated ego or an obnoxious middle aged man looking for attention.

I just noticed that out of the first 20 threads, he started 14 of them. Why is he so desperate that he has to push a bunch of old folks out of the way so he can post his nonsense?

Is it simply a lack of manners or does he have mental problems? I don't know, but I wish he would go away so all of my friends would return.

I don't think Monkey pushed anybody out of the way. He found an
almost empty group and is using it as sort of a diary, I believe.
Occasionally he gets somebody answering him, but don't do that unless
you want to run the risk of being printed all over the web. Toci

Does your newsreader software have a "filter" function? You could have it simply ignore his posts. Out of sight, out of mind...

I don't bother with TM since it seems mostly to me like a BM,

I encourage everyone to simply not post replies to items that
are meant to provoke sensationalism... i.e. ... trolls, in my opinion.

I have been on alt.sixtyplus on and off for years. It is heavily
populated
by Brits and ex-Brits who live in Australia, and they like to "stick
it" to
Americans as much as they can. Currently they are going bonkers
about some conspiracy theory of theirs that I have two identities.

A number of Americans also post there, and there is a big
difference
in the politeness of the posts from them and those from the British
contingency. I think it is probably a cultural thing.

Anyway, it is a hoot.

On a similar subject, have any of you noticed that "GLOBALIST"
seems
to have done a 180 on it's agenda. Before it was anti-white, pro-
Obama,...

makes
me wonder if the original "GLOBALIST" has been replace by a
different one. No conspiracy theory, and I'm not
complaining, ....just
noting a difference in the agenda.

Yes, I knew your doctorate was in something incredibly boring like
science or engineering or maybe statistics. You do have enough of a
sense of humor to step out of character and pretend to be blind in
order to have Janet rethink her presuppositions; if you didn't do that
then you didn't do that. I assume all Texan males partake of the same

Well, that's certainly true, but with GLOBALIST it seems to be
more than that. No more of that "all whiteys are evil" line.
GLOBALIST
was Robert in St Louis before, and he was definitely a black racist.
Now the character seems more mellow and makes reasonable
statements. Doesn't seem to me to be the same person at all.
But unlike our British friends, I readily admit that I may be wrong.
Whatever the change, I now read his/her posts and give them some

I'm black as the ace of spades. Canadian of Indian ancestry. (Acadian
Crow). Came to the US when my grandparents moved to Louisana and
brought the whole family with them (31 kids, grandkids, aunts and
uncles) Granddad was an African and Grandma was full blood Indian.
(Canadian indians were just full of blood not that that meant of any
one ancestry) My wife is white as the driven snow. We are considered
white trash among many. Unless we are being asked to contribute to
some civic cause.
