Hello all --
My mother's family name (SMILLIE) appears to be unique or
different -- the family apparently settled in Pittsburgh, Penn., from
Wishaw, Scotland, some time in the mid-1800's.
I have _three_ generations of "Thomas Smillie" - grandfather (1903-1977)
<married Elizabeth Noah, 1904-1988>, g-grandfather <married Mary Muir>,
and g-g-grandfather <married Jennifer ?>.
To date, I haven't found the "Smillie" name anywhere else in
the US, and it's not listed in any Scottish clan books.

Anyone else searching SMILLIE from Wishaw, Scotland?
