The BBBFMTR USDP Army never kept words and agreements. Nga Min Aung
Hlaing kept being promoted from Lieutenant General to General, Deputy
Senior General, and Senior General. He should have been tried in a
court martial for crimes against humanity, and for disobedience to
President Nga Thein Sein. But he was not punished; he kept being
promoted. That means, the BBBFMTR USDP Government does not have a
genuine desire for the rule of law and for peace.

Clashes in Shan State despite Govt-KIO 7-Point Peace Plan

Fighting continues in Shan State despite ethnic rebels and the
government having late last month signed a seven-point peace plan that
was hailed as a breakthrough in the two sides’ negotiations to reach a
permanent ceasefire, the Kachin News Group reported on Wednesday. KNG
said clashes broke out on Saturday, Sunday and Monday between the
government army and forces loyal to the Kachin Independence
Organization (KIO). An anonymous KIO source said KIO-allied forces
have been ordered not to strike first, but had been provoked by
government troops.
