Social realism---Political Abstract morality

Since realism repesents a respect for fact as fact rather than a concern for
imaginative and symbolic,close observation,logicality,impersonality, and
precison rank hugh among the virtues of the realistic writer. It is easy to see
how such a literature would thrive in a period of GRIM SOCIAL STRUGGLE,with the
issues of poverty and POLITICAL ABUSES,and to see how it would blend into the
reportage
of the muckraking journalist.In fact, Crane and Dreiser were both journalists
exploring the life of the slum long before they were novelists;they drew thier
fictional impulse from the world of FACT. The novelist Henry B.Fuller( The
Cliff-
Dwellers,1892,and With The Procession,1895) even declared that to be in the
spirit of the age writers should give up fiction altogether and create a
literature
of "FACT," preferably biography.

If you will notice today's Political "Abusers" couch everything in some type of
moral abstractism--such as Patriotism--the Christian Ten Commandments is
a social curall--abortion is immoral--attack the messengers of FACTUAL Realisms
in the filthiest of Amoral languages--So do not be surprised if a new age of
REALISM'S Writers begin to appear on center stage--Fullifilling the public's
DEMANDS TO KNOW . 9/11 WTC--WHAT WENT WRONG ?
