I am not going to vote for any of these.
I don't know much about Huntsman other than he hasn't said anything
to indicate his is a crank or fool. Keeping quiet is the best thing he
could possibly do to win. Let the others talk and hang themselves.
Look him up on Wikipedia. It's an eye opener.

I've never been a huge fan of debates, but these Republican debates
are an exception with everyone of them tripping all over themselves
competing to see which one can make the biggest fool of himself.
I've always wondered how much coaching and training goes on behind the
scenes for these debates. Romney obviously has a new coach that
working on helping him shake his flaky image and present the
impression that he's the only adult on the stage and it appears to be
working.
The question is how will the Republicans vote when they get in that
booth all alone? If the choice is between Romney who says he supports
Social Security and Perry, for instance, who obviously wants to kill
it, I would bet they will vote for Romney.
Given Romney's metamorphosis I would guess that he's the odd's on
favorite for winning the Republican nomination. Intrade shows him as
the most likely winner.

However, there are some new indications that Chris Christie might run
and if he did, and won, he would be a very strong candidate against
Obama unless he stumbles somewhere along the line like Perry did.

Unless something happens to reverse the current trends, there's a very
good chance that the Republicans will wind up controlling both houses
of congress and the presidency. At that point, I'll probably just
figure that we have lost the battle and I'll probably just ignore the
political news and the newsgroups altogether and maybe focus more on
other things.

Not nearly as entertaining as watching the Chosen One writhe and
squirm as he is roasted by the heat of truth and public opinion. You
voted for Hope and Change, and got neither. Soon it will be our turn.
Riiiiiiiiiiiight.

If they get a turn they'll really screw everyone but the rich.
Thumper
Obama, being a true egalitarian, just screwed everyone. And, I would
remind you that in a world of filth and squalor, the "rich" and their
free enterprise ideals built a country in which the poor drive cars,
and lay around all day getting fat watching TV.
I've heard it said that we are the only country in history -- where
the poor are fat. One might almost say it's a requirement for the
poor :-)
