Skills Conference is proof....

Every Pagan Community Organization faces challenges, it's true, but
most of these challenges can be met with specific and straight-
forward skills. For four years now, we have brought Pagan leaders of
today and tomorrow together with experienced experts who provide
valuable, real-world knowledge of the problems faced by Pagans and
Pagan Community Organizations. We can teach you the professional
skills you need to help the Pagan Community grow into the 21st
Century, including:

Are you part of one of the many Pagan Community Organizations that is
making a difference? We can teach you how to raise funds, plan events
large and small, publicize your group and its events, work with your
members and volunteers, and teach others. Are you interested in
forming a Pagan Community Organization? We can show you how to form a
non-profit entity recognized by the IRS. Don't keep believing the
same old line about how the Pagan Community can't work together.

Not "can't." "Wont." And I've had enough bad experiences with
so-called "umbrella organizations" trying to tell me how to run my own
group that I'm afraid I'm suspicious of them all.

Yeah, I think we've all had some bad experiences. I did attend the
conference last year though, (took the course on Publicity and
Promotion) and it was great. Thoughout the weekend ran into folks
from all different paths willing to share what worked, and didn't work
FOR THEM and looking for suggestions from other folks to help them
along. No one told anyone how to run their group. Yes, a few bad
apples can ruin it for everyone,
