I stand corrected!

It seems what is commonly listed as the "Farewell Sermon" might be a compilation from multiple sources, possibly (I am not 100% sure of this at this moment).

Anyhow, there are several sources for the wording of the Farewell Sermon.

The part which is translated as follows is from the Musnad of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (as you pointed out earlier), and is reported to be graded as "sahih" (sound)...

"An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action."
