I need help locating (or rejecting, as the case may be) a hadith I
heard a while back. Someone told me there was a hadith about a man who
had accepted Islam and went blind a short time thereafter. After he
went blind, doubts crept into his mind and he thought that perhaps he
had made a mistake and that he went blind because of his acceptance of
Islam. So he recanted and left Islam and remained blind throughout his
life. The Prophet said about that man that had he remained firm in his
Faith, Allah would have restored this man's sight. If anyone has heard
of this hadith can you please give me a reference or citation.
