Salam 'Alaykum,

For those of you working for the sake of Allah to wipe (Rafidi)
Shi'ism off the face of the earth (may Allah hasten the day that this
happens), here is an excellent resource:

http://www.sunnidefense.com/exp/

The Shia propaganda from Tijani and others was initially countered by
the site www.ansar.org. The Shias then came back with a site called
"Answering Ansar". The above site patiently details the distortions
and lies of the "Answering Ansar" site: it is well worth reading.

Wa al-Salam,

I did read the 18 short articles that appear to be what the
sunnidefense.com site presents. It was a very odd experience.

It doesn't go as far as the poster who is explicit that he wishes to
wipe Shi'ism off the face of the Earth. I have to read that as meaning
that he does not consider Shi'ites Muslims. Otherwise he would be
bound by ordinary Muslim etiquette not to speak ill of them. I wonder
whether the poster thinks violence against Shi'ites is licit, or even
obligatory?

If one were to write "working for the sake of God to wipe Islam off
the face of the earth" one would rightfully be condemned as an extreme
Islamophobe. Is this perhaps an outbreak of extreme Shi'aphobia?

All that said, the oddest thing is the way the argument is being
conducted. Quibbles about the exact words used by medieval scholars.
This is no way to settle anything or convince anyone of anything. And,
if you are going to quote passages in books, you should give page
numbers or some other means for a reader to find the passages
referenced with a minimum of fuss.
