The gospel core is the imputed
righteousness of Jesus Christ.
Without that there is no church.
Even justification by faith itself
is based on that imputed righteousness
without which there is no justification,
and so no eternal life.
When Jesus came into the world,
most Jews supposed that
their religious system did not need him.
Then when Jesus showed from heaven
that his imputed righteousness is
the entire basis for salvation,
to enable the Protestant Reformation,
most Catholics supposed that
their religious system did not need that.
Today most Protestants suppose
that their own "righteousness"
by surrender gets them saved.
But when Christ takes only those
in the Rapture whose trust is in him alone
to be their imputed righteousness,
then it will become evident to those
who remain on earth
that the gospel does not change:
The moment we stop trusting in our "righteousness"
and start trusting in Christ to impute his perfect
righteousness to us, we have eternal life.
