CONFERENCE: Josh McDowell Youth Rally

Josh McDowell, international author and youth worker, is bringing his RIGHT
FROM WRONG Campaign to the Tampa Bay, Florida Area April 18th, 7-10 p.m.,
at the USF Sundome. The RIGHT FROM WRONG Campaign is part of a national
effort to promote sexual abstinence before marriage. For three hours,
Josh McDowell, and recording artists Sunday Drive will entertain and
challenge Tampa Area youth with a multimedia event complete with live music
and crowd interaction through state of the art multimedia presentations.

The youth event is the final segment of the "RIGHT FROM WRONG" Campaign's
"Counter the Culture" tour, which included a Church Staff Briefing and a
Parent/Adult Seminar that were recently held in the Tampa area. "RIGHT
FROM WRONG" was developed after 42 of the nation's top Christian youth
leaders met to discuss the state of the church attending youth. The youth
leaders unanimously agreed that this generation's loss of a
biblically-based value system was their one concern.

In the next 24 hours…

1,000 unwed teenage girls will become pregnant
4,219 teens will contract a sexually transmitted disease
500 adolescents will begin using drugs
135,000 kids will bring a gun or other weapon to school
6 youths will commit suicide

With the cooperation of 13 denominations, the Josh McDowell Ministry and
the Barna Research group conducted a survey of over 3,700 youth throughout
the United States and Canada. The survey showed that church attending
youth today have lost the ability to distinguish between right from wrong.

A Newsweek poll from June 13th, 1994, showed that 76 percent of Americans
surveyed believe we are living in an age of spiritual and moral decline.
Josh will share with teens how they can distinguish between right from
wrong, and apply that to making choices in their lives including the area
of sex.

Brandon and Pinellas Crisis Pregnancy Centers, and Trinity College.
