The Christmas Decorations

Dr Chuck Missler has a saying he loves to repeat:

"When you see all the stores and the communities setting up their
Christmas decorations, you know that Thanksgiving is just around the
corner."

Now, what would he mean by that?

He is referring to the following portion of Bible Prophecy, deduced
from Ezekiel 38-39, Romans 11, 1 Thess. 4-5, etc:

darkness, immorality, evil . . . [part of the "christmas decorations"]

Q. "Our Blessed Hope, the appearing of the Glory of our Great God
and Saviour, Jesus Christ." [The "Thanksgiving,"].

( Immediately after which, there will not be a saint of God left on
the earth or in the grave. It's the beginning of a new ballgame, and
the fulfillment of all the Prophets, on the earth:)

S. The appearance of a New set of Believers, world-wide, Jew and
Gentile, brought in by the events of Ezekiel 38-39. [The beginning
of "Christmas" itself (cp Rev. 11:10!)]

In short, we are seeing everything shaping up appropriate to the
fulfillment of Ezekiel 38-39, as well as the 10 world divisions of
the Great Tribulation and the growing prominence of the Great Whore
and many other Prophetic entities. But these things cannot be
fulfilled until after the above Blessed Hope (1 Thessalonians 5, 2
Thessalonians 2:3, Romans 11, etc); therefore, since these things
(the "Christmas decorations being set up") are "shaping up," and the
fulfillment appears very near, the Rapture ("Thanksgiving") must be
even nearer.

Paul says, regarding this "Thanksgiving," that we ought to get ready
for it:

"Wherefore, exhort one another with these words."
--- 1 Thessalonians 4:18

"It is high time [did you know that this is "high time?"] to awake
out of slumber, for now is your Salvation ["Thanksgiving" above]
nearer than when you Believed."

"not forsaking the assembling of yourselves together, as the manner
of some is

[as ALL of us are doing on this newsgroup --- tearing one another
apart, absolutely implacable toward one another in even the
slightest. Some even LYING against one another, and others approving
of it! How can we DO this, when God's Word is SO clear on it? "Six
things doth the Lord HATE, yea seven are an ABOMINATION unto Him . .
.. he that soweth discord among the bretheren . . ." Are we Believers,
or aren't we? Do you want to see a hundred passages on this point?
"By this shall men know that ye are My disciples . . ." Don't you
think the negative inference to this might also be valid? IT'S A
DIRECT EMPHATIC COMMAND FROM HIM! Doesn't that mean anything to us?
Where is a ".christian.bible-study" group?? I'm still trying to find
one. This one is clearly neither "christian" nor "bible-study."
Guess who seems to be the only one here who doesn't tear others down
--- "Theologynut," an admitted unbeliever! Or Sarah, the "JW?"]

"as ye see the Day approaching . . ."

What Day?

It's gonna happen anyway --- how, or why, should we "get ready
for it?" "Thou fool!"

And John says (1 John 2:28 - 3:3),

28 "And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall
appear, we may have confidence, and not be ASHAMED before Him at his
coming."

THAT IS WHY! . . . The same reason why Paul, above, says "exhort ye
one another with these words." And everything else he said above. If
you don't already know, I clue you: YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE ASHAMED AT
HIS COMING!! "knowing the TERROR of the Lord, we are persuading men"
The alternative will be "stage fright" that you never dreamed of,
with all the Universe looking on! (Romans 8:19 --- not "creature" as
KJV: it refers to the "creation," or the Universe. This passage is
more than packed enough for a post in itself). I believe that that
"shame" alone would kill us if we experienced it in our present
mortal bodies. I far prefer the shame I'll get in this world for
obeying Him and preaching His Word to the alternative: THAT shame.
"Whosoever will be ashamed of Me in this present wicked generation,
of him also will the Son of Man be ashamed when He cometh . . ."

29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that every one that
does righteousness is born of him.

[and what is "doing righteousness?"]

1 "Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we
should be called the Children ["sons," KJV, is a tragic
mistranslation] of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it
knew him not.

2 "Beloved, now are we the sons [again, CHILDREN] of God, and it does
not yet appear what we shall be [1 Cor. 2:9]: but we know that, when
he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he
is" [a very important cause/effect, here: my post on this several
months ago].

3 "And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as
he is pure." ["every man" would seem to mean "without any exception"
(and of course it includes "every woman" as well). That is, to
express it more clearly as its contrapositive: "If any person is not
preparing himself for this coming awesome event, it's because he
doesn't have the event in his heart or in his mind --- and he may
not, in fact, have it in his future!]
