This is an INVERTED civilisation.

Humanity is an INVERTED species.

Alcoholism is a HEALTHY response by a SANE being to the stress of
being forced to live in an INSANE civilisation while being required to
pretend it is not an insane civilisation.

The ones who do NOT need a drink to ease the pain of living in an
INSANE civilisation, they are the ones who are really SICK.

Looking again at the original post there....... it does seem there is
something very unhealthy about USA society.

In Western Europe the AA gang know they'll get a boot up the hole if
they try to dominate the members in any way.
