Can "happiness" be a masculine trait?

I postulate that happiness (syn: gaiety or "gayness"... see
http://thesaurus.reference.com/search?q=happiness ) is strictly a feminine
characteristic and that the main problem with depression in human society is
the fact that men (in terms of societies views of "masculinity") are not
allowed to be "happy" in public.

In my theory, this is why alcohol - rather than cannabis or other currently
illicit substances - is the 'drug' of choice in Western civilization,
because it makes men "unhappy" or "depressed".

Does human happiness imply some sort of "submission" to a higher power or
authority (a man, father, "God", etc)? Does the unwillingness to submit to
any higher authority make a man unable to become "happy"?

Why does Christianity only allow men to achieve happiness through submission
to an imaginary male figure (God / Jesus Christ)? Why can't men achieve
happiness through submission to certain plants (cannabis, opium poppy, coca
bush, etc...)?

Why is the act of suicide _respected_ in Japanese society, but not in
Western society? Are male humans not needed anymore, and this is the reason
suicide rates for men is 8 times that of women? Can men adapt in modern-day
society and be accepted if they are "happy" and smiling often, but not have
to submit to other men sexually (homosexuality)? Can a man really smile in
the presence of an extremely attractive woman, or is masculine strength
identified with being feared and depressed?

This might be where I make a disparaging remark about Scientology.

That book's a good place to start. But there's more than that to prove
that the Christ was real. Try Herodias, Thucydides, Tacitus, Caesar's
accounts of the Gallic War, and Livy's Roman History to get more proof.
They all mention him.

I'll ask my husband. He smiles a lot, and actually laughs out loud in
public. :) .......... He says, "Sure? Why?"

Caesar campaigned through Gallia 58-50BC. Caesar was wacked in 44 BC.

Jesus was possibly made up from other Jewish maryters of the period. He
supposedly lived and died during Augustus'(Octavian's) reign. Jesus' dates
are generally said to be "0AD to 33AD". There was an astronomical
event--conjunction of jupitor and venus-- in, what we call now, 4AD; if he
was real he was possibly born then. Jesus was not mentioned in "the Conquest
of Gaul" by Julius Caesar. How could he have been?

I believe Christ was real - I just don't believe he was really god.
