You are claiming that in approximately half of the states of the U.S.
animal cruelty is legal, as bestiality is legal there? Not to mention that
according to your definition animal cruelty is legal in most of the
countries of the European Union?

You are claiming that zoophilia (a paraphilia, i.e. a sexual disposition)
equals bestiality (a sexual practise)?

Would you please back up these two claims? TIA.

You'll need to back up this claim. Please provide a state-by-state list
of those that consider screwing one's dog in the butt legal. Keep in
mind there are vague statutes contained in each state's penal code
that would certainly prohibit such an act ("lewd and lascivious acts").

Again, provide facts to back up your claim. Who falls into this "most"
catagory? You've read each country's statutes?

According to the RFD that was posted on news.groups, they're quite close.

VAR - Verification of information. Most state/countries laws are only
located in that states/countries local libraries. So only some laws
have been confirmed through research. Others are given by word of
mouth and some have not been researched at all.

W = laws given by word of mouth (or computer)
- = Laws not known.

LAW - Is their a specific law against bestiality in that state/country.
NONE = No specific law found against bestiality

PEN - Penalty classification for violating the law. This may vary between

Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden, Italy, Spain and (unconfirmed,
yet claimed in "Beloved Animal" by the Dutch biologist Midas Dekkers) all
others, obviously Hungary and Russia, too. The possible exception -
theoretically - is the UK, but UK laws are strange anyway for someone from
the continent, they still also have the death penalty - theoretically.

The UK also has the death penalty for piracy, arson of HM docks,
and stealing cattle in Scotland.

But then, if you are on the Isle of Man you can shoot a man in a
kilt on sight.

Now that I *didn't* know.

So? Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. Although homosexuality is illegal
there, also.
