On one occasion, I was actually put in charge of some homeless female veterans in a transitional VA shelter. I thought that they wouldn't like me because of my history of supporting mens rights. However, these lady veterans informed me that they liked me more than any of the other House Seniors that they had had because I was always courteous and respectful towards them and made every reasonable effort to address their requests and needs.
