What respective allies?  Italy doesn't have any.

Really?  They had a treaty about the Balkans, but I don't think Russia
would actually go to war for Italy.  It wouldn't go to war for France
in the Moroccan Crises, and France was an actual ally.

Would Russia really go to war for Italy?  Serbia might join in, I
agree, but this is pre-Balkan Wars Serbia - I don't think it would
dare.  And what of Bulgaria, Romania, the Ottoman Empire?  Romania was
still allied to the Centrals at this time.  Bulgaria hates Serbia.
Hmm...

Also, does this happen before or after the Bosnian crisis.  If before,
it's unlikely either Serbia or Russia would intervene - Russia still
would be in an entente with Austria over the Balkans, even.
