Does anyone know of any material that goes into detail on the findings
of the two boards mentioned in the subject line?
These boards were convened in the late 30s to determine what additions
were necessary to the USN shore establishment to support the increase
in the size of the US Navy.
I just got a copy of "Building the Navy's Bases" and it mentions this
subject in some detail, but I was hoping to find a more thorough
treatment.

PS And now that I think of it, anything that would describe similar
activities on the part of the US Army.
