"Humiliate Bush? Please, Anything but That!"

""UK Protesters Aim to Humiliate Bush Like Saddam" reads the Reuters
headline:

"Anti-war protesters plan to topple and dance on a mock statue of
President Bush in the center of London as part of demonstrations to
"blight" his visit to Britain next month.

Their re-working in Trafalgar Square of the famous humiliation of a
Saddam Hussein statue in Baghdad six months' ago will be among running
protests including marches and a mock trial of Bush planned around his
November 19-21 state visit.

"People are excited about the prospect of opposing George Bush because
they feel this visit adds insult to the injury already caused by the
Iraq war," said Lindsey German, of Stop the War Coalition, one of
various groups planning the events."

Now, if there's one thing we know from reading Reuters' coverage of the
Palestinian Arabs' "uprising for independence," it's that it's not a
good idea to humiliate people. The Israelis keep humiliating the poor
Palestinians, who naturally react by wantonly murdering innocent
Israelis. Isn't Lindsey German the slightest bit worried that she's
going to cause President Bush to kill lots of people by humiliating him
like this?"

Err fistly its REALLY dumb for Bush to come to the UK right now,
everyone is pissed witht he Iraq war, and blames Bush (you can't really
blame Blair hes gone mad, I feel sorry for him really).
Expect to see just about anything when hes does come. Including the Met
trying to deal with large crowds who are going to be very fucked off.

The other thing, "These Brit hooligans" who turned up on the original
march numbered 1-2million. "These Brits" would be more accurate.

More bullshit from The Wall Street BushCo Loon.

This is not a small anti-war group, but the majority of the British
population feel the same - Bush is NOT welcome in the UK.

As far as I'm aware the Met don't actually have access to automatic weapons,
their H&C MP-5s are specially made so they can't actually fire on full auto.

I also imagine that dumping bodies in the Thames breaks more regulations
than you would really want to.

I wouldn't call the million plus in Hyde Park rabid anything.

That was Middle England there, dear boy, and 59% of the British Population

But I would draw the line at polluting the Thames -:))

He's also just pissed off Howard, the Oz PM, by calling him;

"The US's sheriff in SE Asia"

A massive security operation has been taking place during Bush's latest tour
to keep anti-war and anti-US protestors away from him.

Except they couldn't do a thing about the 3000 who lined his route from the
airport burning US flags and shouting anti-Bush slogans.

I can't wait till he gets here.

Maybe we should set up a bonfire for him on Tower Hill.
That's what we used do for troublesome colonials wasn't it ?

Hilarious, especially coming from someone who was never on a winning side

The 'Great' in Britain is still very much there, Hines.
Except it got a little tarnished by following a Red Neck Cowboy into a war

Didn't he call him John 'Major' as well? I can understand difficulties

Now that is a really powerful protest from 20 million people. These few
clowns are representative?
3,000 represents 0.0015 percent of Australia's population. Now I guess our

What does that have to do with the make-up of the so-called "Stop The War"
group. Most of the leadership of these groups are extreme left (or
anarchist), and would dance in the streets if Saddam came back to power
(just to spite Bush/Blair). In fact many of them hate anything to do with
the current order, especially capitalism, IMF, WTO or global trade in
general. They hate the US far more than they do Islamo fascism. And there is
very little "peaceful" about the more radical among them (a few air-headed
kids just out to have a 'good time' notwithstanding).

Question: what percentage of Iraq's population were involved in that
(in)famous occasion when they stomped on Saddam's statue? Numbers
involved: 100, 20 million.

Question: what percentage of the UK's population were involved in that
anti-war rally? Numbers involved: 1-2 million, 60 million.

Actually no.

I'm a supporter of both Blair and the war.

However thugs who want to shoot people going about their lawful business get

No television, no radio, no mobile phone etc etc.

Neville's playing Outback Jack and Crocodile Dundee on his own.

Hilarious.

Yet he has internet access, giving him the ability to tune into just about
every major radio station and media outlet in the world at the push of a
button.

"No doubt I'll catch up with the world"

Too late, Neville, you got left you behind years ago.

The speakers were of no consequence, for the majority of people who attended
it was a matter of principle to make their voice/opinion seen/heard.

My 60+ year old mother did the march and came home without going to the park
for the speakers etc - I certainly wouldn't call her a leftie.

For sure, your so-called 'Rabid Left' like the Socialist Worker Trots were
out in force along with all the other leftie loons, but they were the
minority.

Which is what all the people were protesting about, they didn't believe the
negotiation cycle should be stopped and the evidence presented making a case
for war was bollocks.

You've just admitted it yourself.

Except you like to label them all a bunch of Leftie Loons.

Which is not true.

Red Ken and all his cronies couldn't fill Walthamstow Dog Track, let alone
Hyde Park for a rally, you are grossly distorting the event.

The "Great" in Britain expired in the Suez in '56 following a

Ah, the Man (?) Without Argument who has to use ad hominem instead. It is
very comfortable to be abused by you and your ilk, as it shows just how
bankrupt you are, and that you are incapable of rational argument and
clueless to boot. Nary a useful point to make, no interesting discussion, no
knowledgeable input, no constructive contribution, just sniping, whinging,
whining, snivelling and abuse. You are starting to make Hinesy look good by
comparison. Quite an achievement.

Heres a better Churchill quote:

All quotes in the excerpt are properly footnoted in the original
book, with full references to British archives and papers. Excerpt from
pages 179-181 of Simons, Geoff. *IRAQ: FROM SUMER TO SUDAN*. London: St.
Martins Press, 1994:

Winston Churchill, as colonial secretary, was sensitive to the cost
of policing the Empire; and was in consequence keen to exploit the
potential of modern technology. This strategy had particular relevance
to operations in Iraq. On 19 February, 1920, before the start of the
Arab uprising, Churchill (then Secretary for War and Air) wrote to Sir
Hugh Trenchard, the pioneer of air warfare. Would it be possible for
Trenchard to take control of Iraq? This would entail *the provision of
some kind of asphyxiating bombs calculated to cause disablement of some
kind but not death...for use in preliminary operations against turbulent
tribes.*

'Crusty' is usually applied to travellers not of Romany stock. The term
seems to be originally military and was applied to someone who does not
shower every day

'Layabout' is invariably used by the right wing press to denote people
without paid employment. It is not a term in common usage.

'Slapper' derives from 'Patty Slapper', a low level worker in the fish
packing industry. It usually means a woman of working class origins who is
believed to be of loose morals.

Apparently so - I somehow have a funny feeling he'll not be charged however!
If he is, I shall start the 'public outcry'! Living very near to a famous
police training establishment, I hav enot only seen their 'new recruits' in
action, but have actually fought with them on more than one occasion - as
piss-poor a bunch of prejudiced, stupid, cowardly, ignorant scum as I have
ever seen, I'm afraid to say. Not only racially either - they even hated
long hair at one time (as they had to have theirs cut I suspect!) and still
hate anyone with a better car. Usually the sort of rats who were bullied at
school, with grudges and chips on their shoulders, bitter, twisted and
thirsting for revenge.

These were the ones I saw in my various local pubs anyway, something that
has stopped lately I'm glad to say. Cowardly, cringing rats when in groups
of two or three, but rather like a bunch of England fans abroad when in a
larger mob. They have now been banned from visiting local pubs for well over
a decade, following a famous (and glorious) local battle which they lost
very heavily indeed (never taught to handle pool cues properly!).
Those that could still walk were marched out bleeding to vans by their
NCO's, to the great and cruel delight of the local bikers, hippies, Pakis,
wogs and girls, who had had enough, and whose combined forces finally
removed them from this manor for good. Horrible to think some may be senior
officers by now. An absolute shower!

Actually, they have seemed a lot better recently, and I even 'pulled' a
trainee policewoman once a while back... though that may show her judgement
probaly isn't really to be trusted, or so some might say. It's a tough and
difficult job - we only want the best doing it!

Cheers
Martin

Very similar, I believe you're talking about the ones who jump about with
their legs crossed in a Yoga position (Yogic Flyers?).

The UKIP are the ones who nobody has heard of since Goldsmith died shortly
after the '97 election. If I remember rightly, that was when David Mellor
lost his seat and the UKIP still lost their deposit.

Seeing as Christopher can write, of a sorts, I expect if he's got the front
to call himself a UKIP supporter, they'll have him standing somewhere at the
next election.

Here's a predicted result:

Labour - 16475
Lib Dem - 9392
Conservative - 2673
Ind Labour - 1765
BNP - 654
Monster Raving Loony - 567
NO Euro - 256
Save our Hospital - 199
UKIP - 176

Another Lost deposit...................

Hilarious.

You could stand as Mickey Mouse and still get more votes than the UKIP.

BASTARDS!!! I was just pulled over by the police on my way home. No
real reason, just a "routine vehicle documents inspection". Did I have
all of my vehicle documents upon me? (Is it normal to carry one's MOT
certificate in one's wallet?!) Wankers. Just because they were bored
and mine was the only car on the road at 1am, they tailed me for five
minutes and then pulled me over to play the most pathetic practical joke
since Cardinal Wolsey got his knob out at Hampton Court and pretended to
be a door! Now I have to trapse to the other side of town with all of
my car documents to present them at a police station, or I'll have
suddenly committed an offnce. Is this how they bugger about with their
statistics, by making up new "crimes"? Just as well I'm not a member of
any ethinic minority, or they might have beaten me up for the
inconvenience my ownership of a car evidently caused them!

They weren't nearly so fastidious on any of the 8 occassions that my car
has been broken into in the last 8 years. They didn't even bother to
look at the car on 7 of the 8 times. Nor were they especially
apologetic when they "accidentally" broke into my house (wrongly), then
just left it unguarded and unlocked, and quite clearly open, until I
arrived home (to have a heart attack) several hours later.

Why don't they go and get proper jobs, ey?

Doesn't say that much about the UKIP, though. You can stand as a man in
a monkey suit and still get elected mayor of Darlington.

And it's well known that any strategically-shaved chimp wearing a blue
rosette could still win a safe Tory seat.

Now, that explains a lot.

Hmmm... this sounds rather familiar! One time I was stopped (many years ago)
I had the usual questions...
"Is this your car sir?"
"Yes" (NEVER say no, even if it is someone else's you've borrowed!)
"Do you have insurance?"
"Yes"
"Is this vehicle MOT'd?"
"It is.. here, I have the documents... and the V10, and my driving
licence..." (stands back looking suspicious, examining documents in minute
detail by torchlight. All is correct, looks rather disappointed and
eventually hands them back with a pout of annoyance)
"Do you normally carry these documents around with you sir?"
"Yes"
"Why is that... it seems 'unusual'?"
"Well, because you lot keep asking to see them and I'm tired of visiting the
police station and having to wait, that's why"
"There's no need to get shirty 'sir', I only asked... have you been
drinking?"

And so it went on in the time wasting,.time honoured tradition, while
several women were raped, several people stabbed by muggers and several
fights broke out on the other side of town no doubt.

One of the most illuminating and amusing incidents occurred the last time
that I was stopped, in a rather dodgy part of west London a while ago. It
was a hot day, and two heavily overweight and rather irritable coppers
pulled me up at some traffic lights. I was driving a rather dodgy Mini
Cooper with no MOT, no tax and no grill, and I had some 'contraband' aboard,
which I was rather keen for them to 'overlook'....
"Is this your car sir?"
"Yes"
"Why is there no grill?"
"It keeps cooler that way." (Officer #1bends over, sweating profusely and
looking as if he might explode with the effort as he peers into engine and
points vaguely at fan belt - a good 12" within. Adopts solemn tone.)
"That could be dangerous - what if someone was to get caught up in those fan
blades? This vehicle is unfit to be on the road!"
"Mmmm.... I see your point officer, but if anyone had got stuffed that far
into the engine compartment, I reckon being clipped by a fan blade wouldn't
really bother them?"
"Okay, that's enough of that... I'm telling you this car shouldn't...." At
this moment there is an urgent call on his radio 'violent assault in
progress - urgent assistance required!' and officer #2, who has been peering
into the car with alarming diligence, perks up when the road name is
mentioned... as do I.
"That's this road sarge!?" he pipes up. We are actually at the corner of the
very road mentioned! Officer #1 suddenly loses all his bullish arrogance and
goes a bit pale and thoughtful, looking up at the road name and biting his
lip as he shakes his big, fat head.
"Er... nah, it's right up the other end... leave it..." I see my chance to
escape.
"Quick lads - jump in, I'll take you there!" (How public spirited!)
"No... er... you'd best be on your way sir.... we'll overlook it this
time... come on, you're causing an obstruction..." wink, nervous smile...
off I go.
Exactly as it happened... a disgraceful display of cowardice and dereliction
of duty IMO, but I thought it best to forget about it as did they, the idle
bastards.

Even so, I am told our policemen are wonderful, and I have met a few who
actually were - about 50% I reckon. Age seems to improve them?
Cheers
Martin

Same sorts of harrassment happen here. I'm driving down the road, doing
nothing illegal, and a cop pulls me over. Says he ran the tags, and my
wife, who's the registered owner, came up with a suspended license (due to a
mix-up at the DMV six months ago that is taking ages to work out).

All was well, but... why did they run the tags? Somewhat bothersome to me,
that is.

Until Britain finds itself at the cross road, and the choice is either
becoming a mere province by going completely into a federal european
superstate with the euro as our currency and no sovereignty, and
pulling out of the eu, and scrapping all eu regulations and dictats,
and becoming an independent nation state again with all our sovereign
powers restored in Parliment.

Alternatively you could have forced an inquiry as to why you were being
dealt with more severely than a non-ethnic minority?

And your crime?...

It seems there's nothing to be gained in chasing real criminals these days,

And somehow, when this happens, you won't have to deal with the EU anyway?
They'll be your closest trading partner -- a trading partner you just told

Doesn't sound good...
