-Is anyone brave enough to send a letter to Kuniko Hines?
-# 347 Ilimalia Loop
-# Kailua, HI 96734

Several weeks ago I wrote a friendly letter to her,
since no response yet, , , , probably never, , .
zillow.com does not seem to indicate anything recent there.

I've several times considered sending a similar letter
to his two side neighbors, backyard and across the street
neighbor, (but procrastination being the relative of
not caring enough ----, always something more important, .)
Oh well. I wish him well.

I hope his disappearance bodes nothing serious, but is simply the result of
his kids asking daddy to push away from the internet, because he is
embarassing them.

As he worked in Intel at one time, could it be old "no discussion"

Paul and I have of couse been seen on the same battlefield (and in the same
pub) by several reliable, independent witnesses. Whilst together for an
entire, and most enjoyable day, DSH crossposted several times from the other
side of the world, thus proving to everyone that... yes, well, never mind.

I feel it is at last safe to admit that the closest connection I ever had to
Hines was the purportedly 'accidental' Email to Inger, which appeared some
years ago on SHM. I confess, it was a wicked invention, and the scurrilous,
scandalous contents had as little bearing in fact as the New Testament has
to historical fact.

Sorry to disappoint anyone, but that's the sad truth - never as good as
wishful thinking. In reality, I trust that nobody really believed that
bloody minded, cantankerous old sow would ever be called 'my little Arctc
Fox'.... even by a hopeful DSH?

You are not trying to suggest Martin and DSH are one and the same? They
aren't. I've met one of them in person, but not the other, thankfully.

Martin often disappears for months on end. DSH never does because this
newsgroup was his reality. As he's been AWOL for almost six months, his
absence must be due to something serious. And, I have to admit, I'm
curious about it.

Sure, Jack.  But compare the Quinn and Hines posts, usage,
cranial capacity, attitudes, and syntax.  You cannot but conclude
they are of the same "armchair commodore"  ilk.
Never assume there can only be one git in the world?

As for Martin Rebaul, look at his profile and note that he travels

Holmes? Surely not THE Holmes? I honestly don't remember that! He has been in a very long posting break indeed AFAIK, tending bees un happy retirement.

Perhaps I should repost "The Sad Case of the Retired Naval Commander" for posterity? Far better than any Hollywood crap... Downey Jr... dear me!
