Having recently read a small history of Jamaica, I think I was briefly
exposed to the name CALVERT as a person in some sort of administrative
capacity in the late1600's or early 1700's. I now wonder if that Calvert
might be related to a Cornelius Calvert who emigrated to the area of
Norfolk, Va. sometime about 1700 and married Mary Saunders. Mary was the
daughter of Rev. Jonathan Saunders who was the minister of Lynhaven Parish
in 1695, but I don't know where that parish was, England, Virginia, or
somewhere in the Caribbean such as Jamaica.

Sure would like to tie this family to their ancestors, as I have
considerable later information on them through the Revolutionary War.
