Hi. Thought I'd share this helpful resource for doing research in
Dutch, Danish, etc. It's Google Translate. To find it: Go to
Google.com, and in the menu, select the little arrow beside More. Go
down the menu and select the very last choice, "Even More." You'll
see a page of icons. On the right, under Communicate, scroll down to
"Translate." At Google Translate, you may need to select the tab for
Text and Web. You can type in words--or put in the URL of a web page--
in Danish, Dutch, German, etc. Sometimes the translated wordings are
odd--and sometimes the function doesn't seem to work at all--but
usually it is possible to make out the gist. There also is a tab for
Translated Search to perform a search of web pages in other languages.

I too am researching "Moore" relations. in Barbados and possibly st Vincent. I know when they wen to Panama and then to NY but have a litttle bit of a problem with the Barbados history. As a matter of fact I do know that Samuel Pollard was a bailbonds man in Barbados and if they don't have the record I would imagine they would have to file records with England... am I on the right track?

I was poking around Rootsweb this morning and saw that Robert Moore
in 1722 subscribed to William Mayo's Map of Barbados.

I note that the Moravians were there from 1769. They have wonderful
archives in Pennsylvania. http://www.moravianchurcharchives.org/

Also, in St. Croix in 1856, there was a Matilda Moore. I do not know
anything about her, only that my great-grandmother was born that year
and named for her.

Re Moores, There are a few MOORES in St Vincent as one of my Father
Sisters married a MOORE , but his Family
came from Trinidad, I only know There are others MOORES there to but I
never looked them up, but the ones who were born to My Aunt & her Husband
are my first cousins, some still live in St Vincent .>>some live in the UK
Where I am living, But I don't see them very much,
