An accurate history of Saint-Domingue and a frank discussion of the history of the political and economic woes of Haiti.

I don't know how long the piece will be online, but it's worth listening to all 30 minutes of it.

The item (second tab down) was broadcast on 3 March 2010. Choose the "Download Audio" option. It will start playing immediately (not sure if it actually downloads). One of the authorities being interviewed is "our own" Dr. David Geggus from the U of Florida, Gainesville.

I was made aware of this broadcast by a lovely lady who called from Australia to talk about her Saint-Domingue ancestor. We talked for an hour and a half ! I hope she used Skype :-)
