Janet's father in the IGI is listed as Alexander Gray (with an 'A') and her
mother Jean Greig. She married William Morison in 1825 and then came to
Quebec in 1827. William bought at least 800 acres in Godmanchester upon
arriving in Canada. He was accompanied by his younger brother Alexander.
The first of William and Janet's children, William Grey Morison, was born in
Scotland, the next 12 were born in Quebec. By the time william died in 1879
the name was spelled Morrison with two Rs and that is how is shows on their
tombstone in Huntingdon. Janet lived to near 90 years of age dying in 1907
in Kelso, Quebec.
