THOMPSON Samuel J.; Queen Ann Co, MD,USA; 1840

I am looking for census information from 1840 and 1850 for Samuel J.
Thompson who married Mary J. Nickerson and had a daughter Sarah Amanda
born 16 Aug 1840.
All of the Nickersons live in Queen Ann Co, in 1840 so I was guessing
that Samuel might also be living there, although I see from the census
index that there are Samuel Thompsons listed in Balt, Cecil, and Prince
George counties. I'm in Pittsburgh PA, and only have access to the
indexes not the actual census's so I'd really appreciate the help. Sarah
lived till 1926 and all of this information comes from her death
certificate.
