KIRCHMEYER Ernest; DEU>SD,USA; 1883

I'm looking for information on Ernest John Kirchmeyer (b. June 24,
1850-March 14, 1921).  Immigrated to the USA through the port of New York in
March, 1883 with his wife Johanna P. Reis and children.

They first settled in Lansing, Illinois and then Deuel County, SD.  I have
information on their life in SD but none in Lansing, IL.

Also interested in the town of Wiesenfeld (located near Heilbad
Heiligenstadt) and Ernest John's parents or other relatives.

Does anyone know about this town called Wiesenfeld?
