Stephen Barrett, born 1828 in Swindon, Wil, a house decorator at # 6
Wilson Terrace, Bristol employed 30 men and five boys in 1881, wife
Elizabeth. Stephen and Elizabeth had two sons namely Edwin J., born 1852
in Bristol who had a wife Sarah A., born 1850 in Bristol The other son was
William, born 1858 in Bristol who had a wife Catherine, born in 1859 in
Bristol. William and Catherine had two sons born in Bristol, William in
1878 and Alfred in 1880.
Thomas Frederick Barrett, born 1856 in Bayswater, London, a Hairdresser and
Tobacconist at 709 Fishponds Road, Bristol around 1900. He lived at # 1
Stanley Place, Forest Road, Fishponds between 1912 and 1922.
Edwin Barrett, born 1865 in Bayswater, London, brother of Thomas Frederick
and nephew of Stephen Barrett, discharged from the navy on Feb. 6, 1882 to
be a painter in Bristol.
Richard Davies Barrett, born 1848 in Swindon, Wil, was an unemployed
accountant in the 1891 census living at 82 Eugene Street, St. James,
Bristol. His wife Lydia, born in Bristol in 1841, was a tailoress.
