And now I want to hear someone from this group, about linguistic of my
Surname: LUNDIAK and possible forms...
For more details see blog title (there are many forms).
That is why I am posting this in "sci.lang group"
See my blog - www.lundiak.blogspot.com - to know original UKRAINE
version of surname.
Especially entry "Citizen of(from) Lund" (november):
http://lundiak.blogspot.com/2010/11/citizen-offrom-lund.html
which based on my Google Group research:
"Lundiak Reserach" in soc.culture.* gr:

"Lundiak Reserach" in soc.genealogy.* gr:

"Lundiak Jakab-Teodor 1915 buried" in soc.culture.czecho-slovak gr:
http://groups.google.com/group/soc.culture.czecho-slovak/t/f4dcb29eb01a7a6a
"Lundiac(k) surname reserach (german, hungarian, swabian)" in
soc.culture.magyar gr:

Anyway, here are more detailed current important questions for me now:
A) Want to clarify origin of surname ? (Slavic(95%), Magyar/
Hungarian(70%), Nordic/Baltics (transform 30%), Deutsch/Swabian (5%),
Jewisch - almost zero)
I believe that this is transform from Nordic surname (Lund) and so
that became to be Slavic (Lund-iak), but to be sure I AM DOING this
all research !!!
B) I want to clarify genealogy of this Surname (how was development
process of surname)
there many ideas with:
- Lund(swedish city) and in time of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Poltava
some swedisch people with surname Lund could assimilated with
ukrainian and settle down here with transformated surname Lund-iak (as
small son of Lund). All my family research is ~1800 years, and no
older info.
- lund aka "grove" or "coppice" or "meadow" in English
- lund aka atlantic puffin bird
- lund as Hindi word (even so :) )
!!! In UKRAINE there no related word for LUND ... !!!
C) I want to know possible transformation, which are new for me
(Hundiak, Gundiak, Kundiak => Lundiak)
some work here: http://lundiak.blogspot.com/2010/12/h-undiak-vs-l-undiak-possible.html
Just my crazy idea - it was a time for Hun's people sociaty:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huns (group of nomadic people)
Maybe something related can be in my choice - LUNDIAK
D) Other "hypercorrect" transformations like:
Lundjak ?= Lundžak =? Lundschak [ Remind yourself with example for
Dschungle (de) = Jungle(en) ]
So whose is this form? (Magyar, Polish, Slovakian, Romanian,
Deutsch)???
E) Y-DNA, mt-DNA - how does it helpful? Does anybody did such kind of
tests?
R1a1 and I2a2 haplogroups which are mostly related to Slavic people
more here http://lundiak.blogspot.com/2010/11/n1c1-and-other-haplo-groups-of-genetic.html
F) Suggest me other groups where I can research these my all
questions.
I WILL BE VERY APPRECIATED for any linguistically/genealogical
help !!!
Sorry, if questions are double, so no necessary to answer me again -
Just new information, new ideas....
