I have a picture entitled "Sergentklassen 1883" and marked "Nils Sodahl Fotograf". It is a picture of 39 un-named gentlemen in uniform and holding swords. One of which should be my great-grandfather, but I can't even be sure which one. Does anyone know where I would be able to find more information?... more »

The GenLine page is GID: 1119.9.119100 (Näsby, Jönköping, Sweden) and the fifth line down. "[dotter] Annica" but I cannot read what comes afterwards. My wild guess is that it refers to the next page GID: 1119.9.119200 where Annica Andersdotter is the wife of Måns Persson. Any help interpreting this will be greatly appreciated.... more »

I know some of my Swedish ancestors ended up living in Minnesota. What I do not know is where some of their brothers and sisters ended up in the USA. I can find in Swedish church records that they left Sweden and went to the USA. Usually also the year of emigration.
