A good genealogical subscriber (and there are so many of you on line)
suggested I get a CD rom. A check of a store had the following:
Family Tree Maker (by Bruderbund) @ $59.96
" " " " " @ $89.99 Deluxe Ed.
Family Gathering (by ?) @ $44.99
Ancestral Quest (by Incline) @ $29.99
Family Origins (by Parsons) @ $54.99
Family Tree (by Corel @ $74.99 but sale priced at $59.99
It is not the price I'm concerned with but the one that would be most
practical, user friendly. Since I really value you people, I am solicitating
your opinions.
[ Since the poster's main concern is which is "most practical, user
friendly" this may fall in the scope of this group. Detailed feature
comparisons will be re-routed to soc.genealogy.computing. -- Mod ]
I wish all you folks lived close by....I would throw a party! Thanks again.
Leonard (Broke R...@aol.com) P.S. You can tell I'm new at this.
