Mortality Schedules of the US Census

I have not used the Mortality Schedules of the US Census. How useful are
they and are they indexed?
How would I obtain them at the National Archives regional offices? What
type information is available?
Please let me know if you have used them.

Is this an untappd resource?

Dave,

I believe Mortality Schedules were compiled in the years of 1850,1860,
1870. That's all I've seen in my area.

They contain name, county, state, age, sex, month and cause of death.

Very helpful if they name you wan, died in that census year.
