An article by W.W. Fiske (TAG 80(2005):104) explains that this is another c=
ase of "the name's the same." Fiske identifies the source for the assertion=
that Daniel was the son of Daniel & Dorothy (Barker) Goodwin but notes tha=
t no evidence is provided for the assertion. The English origins of Daniel =
Goodwin of Kittery, Maine remain unproven AFAIK, unless something more rece=
nt has come to light.
