court of Etterick in the year 1258. His grandson Hugh, the son of
John, resigned for a sum of money, to his lords the abbot and convent
of Kelso, in the court of the Abbot Richard, in 1285, all the land
which he and his ancestors had at any time held in the territories of
Reueden and Home [sic - Hume] ..."
Might anyone have any information on this family or the Order of
Tiron? I am interested in the family prior to 1258 AD if that is
possible.

Not quite sure about your comment on Floors castle, which was not
built until 1720.
