Which sounds like suicide.
It is known that he left an heiress Elizabeth who married Thomas
Waller of Finmere (so in 1667), a sergeant
They have a slab at Earlham St Mary, co Norfolk which states that she
died 27 Feb 1698 aet 83 while he died 13 Jun 1682 ae 72
They married 25 Aug 1634 at Horstead, co Norfolk
I would be intersted to know Thomas Waller's ancestry
Other than that however, I was continuing with my quest to extract
every page of the Lincs.Peds. when I happened upon that Ped for
Morryson which, among other things states that Anne Morrison married
firstly "Gresham Hogaine"
This Anne happens to be a third-generation descendent of Richard
Cecil. Her mother Elizabeth Wingfield was the daughter of Elizabeth
Cecil, daughter of Richard. So I'm keen to know whether Elizabeth
Hogan was a daughter of Anne or was Gresham Hogan married otherwise.
It's fairly certain that when he died in 1621 his wife was already
Anne, and she was living as she goes on to marry secondly to Roger
Townshend of Horstead.
I don't know who this is either... unless he is possibly Roger
Townshend the 1st Baronet who "about 1628" married Mary de Vere ?
