PA3 Additions: Thomas Bolles of Osberton

In Plantagenet Ancestry, 3rd edition (2004), p. 125 (sub Bolles),
there is an account of Thomas Bolles of Osberton, who was father, by
his 1st wife Elizabeth Perkins, of four sons and five daughters. The
youngest son Joseph Bolles immigrated to New England about 1640. Of
Thomas Bolles's second wife, all that is said is: "He married (2nd)
Mary Witham, of Ledston, Yorkshire". But this lady was remarkable in
being the only women ever granted a baronetcy. There is a bio of her
in 'Complete Baronetage' Volume 2, pp. 414-415:

She was baptised 30 June 1579 at All Saints Church, Ledsham,
Yorkshire, where she was buried on the 16 June 1662, having died on 5
May, aged 82. Her first husband was Thomas Jobson of Cudworth, and
her grandson from that marriage inherited the baronetcy at her death.
She and Thomas Bolles received a licence to marry in 1611, and they
had two daughters, Anne Bolles and Mary Bolles. Thomas Bolles married
his first wife Elizabeth Perkins on 20 April 1596 at St. Cuthbert
church, Fishlake, Yorkshire (IGI Batch No.: M106503), and she was
buried 16 October 1610 at Worksop Priory (which by then had become the
parish church) in Nottinghamshire. He died on 19 March 1635, and was
buried at Worksop Priory on 13 April. From the M.I. of Mary Bolles,
Baronetess, we can add husbands for her daughters Anne and Mary
Bolles:

Anne Bolles married Sir William Dalston, 1st Baronet of Dalston (d.
1683). Her sister Mary Bolles (d. 1656) married Thomas Legh of
Adlington (1614-1687).
Mary Witham Bolles, Baronetess of Osberton, had three descents from
Edward III. Here are two:

It's interesting that five years after she was created a baronetess
(and granted land in Nova Scotia which she apparently never held),
Mary Bolles's stepson Joseph Bolles left for New England.

Very right, John! Overlooked Eleanor Neville's descent.
