I have the feeling some people haven't read the accompanying notes on Genealogics. I have the feeling Jim Weber thinks that Richilde was the only child of Reginar V. We know now she was only a daughter-in-law and not a daughter. However, if you look at the file of Reginar V you will see an asterix indicating I have exhausted all I can find about him is missing. In other words, there could be other children, but according to Isenburg Hermann was an only child.

I may be wrong, but I think Todd Farmerie either looked somewhere I didn't, or he could be wrong. To quote him, "I don't know where CP got the speculation that she was daughter of a Count of Egisheim, but it is correct that she was not daughter of prior Counts of Hainault. "

IN CP volume VI page 448 she is mentioned as Richilde daughter and heir of Renier, Count of Mons in Hainault. According to a footnote, she married William FitzOsbern shortly before he went into battle, "and it is stated that she was taken in the battle where her new husband was killed."

Leo, my comment was in regards to the CP correction volume (XIV),
quoted by Jim Webber.

Thank You. I know who William fitz Osbern is.... I knew he had a wife
Adeliza I believe 2 or 3 sons.... I know about William and the younger
one... Roger. who was part of the rebellion.... I know about Emma and her
husband..and their role in the rebellion.
I was not aware of Richilde... I was not even discussing Osbern the father
of William fitz Osbern.

Do we know for sure when he married her? I am referring to Richilde and if
there were any childern.
I cannot be much plainer then that.
Thanks.
