My apologies for being so slow, only twenty minutes ago my access to the internet was restored.
Yes, I have also 52 lines for this Carl/Karl to Edward III
What an interesting person he was.
Schoenau descendants? Yes there are. I have only the 1990 edition of "Der in Bayern Immatr. Adel" Volume XVIII
On page 769 starts this family with (roughly) Accepted in the nobility of Hessen the son Carl Louis and the daughters Marie and Melanie of Prince Carl of Solms-Braunfels and Louise Auguste Stephanie divorced von Beyer, born Beyrich as well as the latter.
Then they are frustrating for me (sigh) the genealogy starts with
Karl von Schoenau, born Bad Reichenhall 22 October 1885, died Munich 14 January 1944, Dr. phil., Botaniker. He married twice and with his first wife had a son Karl Ludwig who also married twice and had one son and two daughters with the first wife. The son married and has a daughter born in 1963 and a son born in 1973.
Prince Carl married in 1834 and fathered a son Carl Louis. Carl Louis born 1836-1841, Surely he is the father (not the grandfather) of Karl born in 1885?
I intend to enter these details in my system.
With best wishes
