(1) Mr Ingram addresses a matter relating to the Eyton line rather than the Beaumaris/Chedle line, and a hundred years earlier.
(2) His query "Has the ancestry of William Bulkeley (dep.justice Chester d.1467------ been determined, and claims that he sees much confusion in sources (Ormerod and Hist Chester)
There is no confusion - if he refers to Hampshire Record Office data, he will discover much data that clearly sets out the relationship of the Bulkeley and Ripariis/Redvers/Ryvers families. Also Calendar Fine Rolls and other public documents. There is a wealth of information that confirms that William Bulkeley was the eldest son of John Bulkeley and Christiana de Ripariis.
Regarding clarification of Catherine (d) William Bulkeley's marriage to Randle Brereton of Ipstones I am unable to assist. Possibly the 1455 friction between William Bulkeley, his sons Thomas, Charles, and Arthur and William Brereton and son William might have some connection withthe claimed marriage. I note a email claim by rjans...@aol.com that Katherine Bulkeley married Randle Brereton 1431, However that claim probably is defective because Katherine at that time was a baby if born.
I look forward to Mr Ingram providing meaningful information regarding my query.
Sincerely Yours,
Paul Bulkley
