You may already have seen Burke's Landed Gentry 1898, part II, which has
the pedigrees of Doyne of Wells, "an ancient Irish sept" and Dunne of
Brittas.
TEIG O'DUINNE, Chief of Hy-Regain (died 1593), married Elizabeth,
daughter of James Fitz-Piers Fitzgerald of Ballysonan and Cloncurry,
County Kildare, and had, with other issue, a son,
BARNABY, alias BRIAN, ancestor of Dunne of Brittas, whose unmarried
brother, Cahir (alias Charles Dunn), bequeathed his son all his estates
in 1617. Their older brother and heir, Teig-Oge, was born in 1557.

Read through the drafts you sent and they left me with much interesting information.
I'd just managed to establish that the most probable identity of the O'Duinn woman I'm looking for (who was married to James FitzGerald of Kilrush, from the Laccagh branch of the FitzGerald family) must have been a daughter of Teig Ó Duinn, who died a very old man just after 1593, and was married to Elizabeth FitzPierce FitzGerald. This because I've found two or three Barnaby Dunne/Brian Ó Duinn's; one who was also a son of the said Teig, which should make his birthdate around 1540-1560, and who died in 1614 (same year as the woman I'm looking for) and his son, Barnaby Óg, who was born in 1599.
James FitzGerald of Kilrush died, according to Lodge, in August 1602.
The problem is that http://www.dunnes.net/Pages/Harry/pages/4masters.htm states the following:
"Teige O'Doyne, Chief of Dowhie-Regan. He married Elizabeth, daughter of Piers
Fitzgerald of the county of Kildare, and had by her Teige, or Thady Oge O'Doyne, or O'Dunne, his son and heir; 2nd, Cormac; 3rd, Brian, or Barnaby, the ancestor of the Brittas family; 4th, Cahir, or Charles Dunne, LL. D., T. C. D., " a good scholar, and a zealous Protestant," who died without issue; 6th, Murtough; and an illegitimate son, Moriertagh, who was slain in 1600." AND, more importantly: "He had also three daughters, one of whom was married to Brian, son of Florence, Baroy of Upper Ossory, the other to Calvagh O'Molloy, and the third to Mulrony O'Carroll. This Teige, No. III, was living, a very old man and blind, in 1593, when he signed, by his mark, a deed by which he settled Iregan on his five sons."
Thus making no mention of a daughter who was married to a FitzGerald. Does any kind soul out there have any suggestions for how to proceed?
