From The Constitution or Cork Morning Post, 28 August 1822 -
The Gentlemen of Kinsale have entered into a
subscription for a Hooker Race, which is to take place on
Wednesday next. We understand that great sport is
expected, as several boats in our harbour are putting in
trim to take a part.
A Horse Race is also to take place on Tuesday--to be
rode by gentlemen.
