McLARDY/MARTIN; Belfast

Hi all!

Angus McLARDY (my husband's grandfather) lived at University Rd - opposite
Mt Charles Close. He was a painter and decorator and his business was
taken over in the late 1930s by William (his son) known as Billy.

We do not know if Billy is still alive, if he married and if he has any
family. Most certainly Angus would be dead by now.

No other details are known - any help in re-establishing/locating McLARDYs
would be appreciated.

My husband's father - Hugh Gilbert McLARDY m Ethel Jones MARTIN in Belfast
1942. Both now deceased. They emigrated to Fiji after WW2; never talked
about their lives in NIRE and rarely talked about relatives making it
difficult to start this family history.

Ethel Jones MARTINs father was William MARTIN a carpenter in Belfast. He
married Jane Anna JONES. Formerly lived at 18 Stranwillis St,Belfast. Had
at least four other daughters - Ena m McMULLEN or MULLEN, Mildred m
FIELDHOUSE, Joan and Mona. I have written to the above address - no reply.
Again any help with locating any relatives past or living would be
appreciated.
