A friend has found an entry online:

Johann Jakob DIETRICH
* um 1585
+ 21.02.1633 in Vaihingen/Enz

Bemerkungen:(notes)
Konfession: EV

Wohnort:
Vaihingen/Enz

Beruf: Dietterich

And has asked me what the occupation means. I have looked at various sites which list old occupation names, but none of them have this. Can someone please help me?

Thanks!

Dietterich is a variation of name Dietrich as last name. Both have
their origins in the first name "dietrich" and no connection to any
kind of task that could be used to describe an occupation.

I expect this to be a database error or mistake done when entering
data in database.

best regards Thomas

Dietterich also doesn't 'look' like an occupation. The majority of German occupation names end in -er (Bauer, Tischler, Metzger, Steinhauer, etc.).
