Hi My gt gt grand parents came to New Zealand on the ship the Friedeburg
sailing from Hamburg in 1872.  The following is the information that I
have on them and I would be thankful for any suggestions on furthering
my research.
Gottfryd SCHIELKE born about 1828 in Prussia, married Ewa Nee
SCMTDKE(this could be a misspelling, on some documents in NZ it has her
maiden name as Smith or Smithson) born about 1830 in GrossPlauth
Prussia, (Now Suez), at Marienwarder (now Kwidzyn) about 1859.
Children on ship were Augustine, Karolina, Julia, Wilhelm and Gustaw.
They were from the town of Zawda.  Also on the ship from the same town,
which I think might be related were Eva KAMINSKA and Karolina
JACKSCHEWSKI.
