I've stumbled across the following two phrases in a 1579 "census"
taken in the principality of Grottkau (Oberschlesien):

Die PPranndt unnd Friedrich Gelhörnner

Fridrich unnd dippranndt Gelhörnners

Fred et alia owned the villages of Alt-Grottkau (Alten Grotkaw),
Drotzdorf (Droczdorff), and Gührau (Giraw). I'm wondering if anyone
can tell me what "dippranndt" means. If the initial letter were an
"s," I'd guess it means "clan" or "family."

Thanks!

Dipprant is just a name, so it reads

Dipprant Gelhorn and Friedrich Gelhorn

(plural of Gelhorn: Gelhörner)
