Does anyone have information on the location in Baltimore of German
Immigration records for the Port of Baltimore around 1890. I am visiting
there next week and want to take a quick look, if such are readily available.

I'm not sure what you mean pecisely by " Immigration records",
but you can find ship passenger lists, and a great deal more on
microfilm at the Maryland Historical Society on West Monument
Street, near the center of Baltimore. Original, official
immigration records may be found at the State Archives in
Annapolis, MD, a relatively short drive from downtown Baltimore
and well worth the drive. There is also the main Enoch-Pratt
Free Library in downtown Baltimore which has a fairly extensive
genealogical collection. Call for their hours before visiting.
You can easily spend a day at each!

Don't forget to try the "crab-cakes" while you are there---it
will make the whole trip worth-while even if you find nothing
relevant to your genealogical search at any of the above
facilities!!!

When you get there look in the phonebook for the Baltimore City
Archives. They have a card index there which was prepared by the WPA
and has never been microfilmed according to people there.
