Hello to the List from a new member. I apologise for not being able to
write this in French as well as English.
I have a few French ancestors and have come to a complete stand-still with
my research.
My 5th great grandfather Edward TYRELL-SMITH supposedly married the Comtesse
DE MURAT around 1800 - they had a son Edward Tyrrell SMITH who was born
1803, possibly in France but probably in England, but I have been unable to
obtain the records as yet.
This Comtesse is a mystery to us, neither marriage nor death records can be
found. If anyone could shed some light on whether she would be named DE
MURAT or was from MURAT and had an altogether family name I would be so
grateful.
