En supposant que Tom Bergeron a ancêtres canadiens-français, est-ce que
quelqu'un sait-il où trouver l'ascendance?
Lomfou
1- Qui sont ses parents/Who are his parents ?
2- Qui sont ses grands-parents/Who are his grand-parents ?
etc.
Il faut faire des recherches pour l'identifier, sa famille et sa
région d'origine, comme n'importe qui !
You have to do a search, to identify himself, his family and
from where he is, like anyone else !

oo oo Ancestors in Quebec ? What about vacations in your homeland!
For what it's worth -
Tom Bergeron was on TV in Massachusetts for many
years - WBZ TV channel 4.
I don't remember the program, but it was on during the
day - after the noon news and before the soap operas.
I think he is from Massachusetts.

Thank you, Mr. Beauregard, for your willingness/enthusiasm to help me in
this situation in which I have no place of birth, no date of birth, no
father, no mother, no siblings, and no relationships for the man.
I know nothing but the name and that he is a celebrity in the United States
like Madonna et Céline Dion. I have found the family trees of the two
women--already existing!!--with nothing but the names. I'll be glad that
you have understood quite well "like anyone else !"

Actually, I had a similar problem a few days ago. I wanted to
know if Vince Furnier, a.k.a. Alice Cooper, was a descendant of
our Fournier families. I made a first search on the Internet,
and found a few data. Then, I posted a request and someone
else posted a pointer.
The 2 cases are similar. Do the best you can to at least identify
him, in particular from where he is, approximate date of birth,
etc. Keep in mind many researchers may have him in their database
without knowing who (what?) he is.
Good luck !

Using a combination of key words, I was able to find a little bit more
on Tim Bergeron's family, with GOOGLE. The online version of the
Eagle-Tribune Newspaper has different articles (obituaries etc..)
related to the Bergeron. There's more than one reference to Tom
Bergeron's parents. They are:
RAYMOND(Ray)BERGERON and CATHERINE(Kay,Katherine)COSTELLO(most
probably). I don't know where and when they got married, but Haverhill
seems a good guess. To know more:
http://www.eagletribune.com/news/stories/19980326/HA_002.htm
Having found the first names of the parents, I could go a little
further. I'm fairly sure that Raymond Bergeron's mother is CECILE
GALLANT, the widow of John Ambrose, who died in June 2000, in
Haverhill. It was Cecile's 2nd marriage. She first married ??
Bergeron. To know more:
http://www.eagletribune.com/news/stories/20000601/OB_001.htm
Catherine's Costello's parents are: WALTER F. COSTELLO and MARY E.
HAYDEN who died in Haverhill, 2 dec 1999, at the age of 91. To know
more:
http://www.eagletribune.com/news/stories/19991202/OB_002.htm
That's all I have. Good luck!

Just logged on to soc. genealogy.french to see what is going on there
and saw your post(s) re Tom Bergeron.
Looks like you have begun to get a line on him! But if you can't find
his tree (or at least a branch) let me know. We have beau coup Bergerons
here in South Louisiana and I could probably find a Tom or two for you!
It was good to see your name - and thanks again for your help in the
past on le Bourgeois!
And congratulations to you and your offspring on your new grandson!
