Hi,

My name is Judy Paul and I live in Victoria, Australia.

My GG Grandfather Richard Silas BOWDEN, with his wife Susan, came to
Australia in 1869 and settled in Queensland.  For some reason they left
behind their daughter Annie Elizabeth BOWDEN born 1864.

In the 1881 Census we found an Annie BOWDEN as below -

 Dwelling: 7 Harwell St Census Place: Plymouth St Andrew, Devon, England

John OATES M 45  M Plymouth, Devon, England Rel: Head Occ: Master Baker

Ann E. OATES M 45  F Plymouth, Devon, England Rel: Wife

Annie BOWDEN U 17  F Morice Town, Devon, England Rel: Niece Occ: Shop Girl

I have just purchased Annie's wedding certificate.  On the 24th Of June 1884
she married an Ernest Albert HILL  at the Plymouth Presbyterian Church -
details of certificate are Ernest Albert Hill, 24, Bachelor, Printer
(Compositor), 45 Avondale Square, Old Kent Road, London, father - John Hill,
Pensioner HM Dockyard; mar Annie Elizabeth Bowden, 20, Spinster, 49 Penrose
Street, Plymouth, father - Richard Silas Bowden, Engine Fitter; at Plymouth
Presbyterian church.  Witnesses:  John Coates and Annie Getty

I know nothing of the family Annie and Ernest may have had, but believe a
descendant did come out to Queensland and visit relatives then returned to
England!!

If anyone has any information or is a descendant of any of the above, I
would be most pleased to hear from you.
