Subject: Lute

Seeking information on the
ancestors of the LUTE name. My wife Barbara and myself are investigating
our family
histories. One of my wife's grand parents had the surname of LUTE. We
have drawn a blank
with the search in the UK as far as we have gone at the moment. There
seems to be very
few if any Lute surviving as far as our researches indicate although we have
not yet carried
out a full search of the UK. We have located a group of that family in the
Britol area going
back to the early 1800s, a group at Nympsfield in Gloucestershire in the
1700s, but no link to
the previous group, and a group in Cambridgeshire but no link as yet to the
others. In the
hope of trying to push these investigations further I am contacting you to
enquire if you may
know something of your family history and if they linked in with any of those
three groups or
may be even another group that we have not yet discovered. I would be
pleased to hear
from you if you are able to help. I would also be pleased to hear even if you
cannot but now of any living Lute e mail attached or not.
Thanking you for the time you have spent reading this
