Arthur Allan married Jane FORBES in 1853 at Fintry,Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
Sons James,Peter and Arthur Forbes were born in Aberdeenshire. After that I
did not know what happened to the family, but they must have emigrated to
America after 1862.

Jane, was my great aunt her parents were Peter Forbes and Jean Hardie.

I recently acquire a will dated 1927 naming several people whom I guess
were their children or grand children.

They were:- Alexander Forbes Allan living in Westwood CA; James Allan,
Falfa,CO; Mrs.Harry Walburg, San Francisco,CA; Charles Allan, Algoma,OR;
John Allan, Twain,CA; Mrs Bertha Paul Miles, Durango,CO; MrsA.H.Weeden,
Albuquerque,NM and Mrs C.E.Pound,Dulce, NM.

If any of my distant cousins read this do get in touch so that I can fill
in a blank in the family tree and if they are interested I can let them
have screeds on th Forbes family!

 Liz: An Alexander Forbes Allan died in California in 1958 and is
listed on the CA death index at

His mother's maiden name is noted as Forbes and his birth as 1878
Other which means he was probably born outside the US. There is a
column where you can post a note to his entry which might generate
